AiMentor Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the AiMentor website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our service.

2. User Registration

2.1 To use AiMentor, users must complete a registration process, providing accurate and current information.
2.2 Users must be a parent or legal guardian registering on behalf of a student in Grades 5 or 6.
2.3 One account per student is permitted.

3. Subscription and Pricing

3.1 Free Trial Period

The first two quizzes are provided free of charge for the new users.
After the free trial if the user wish to continue, a valid payment method is required.
Some features are limited during the free trial.

3.2 Payment and Subscription Details

No payment details are required to try out the free trials.
Payment details must be provided after the trial period to continue using the platform.
During subscriptions, the payment will be processed at the beginning of the period.
Users are responsible for cancelling the subscription if they wish to discontinue.

3.3 Subscription Renewal

Subscription plans will be automatically renewed and charged to the registered payment method at the beginning of each month.
If user wishes to cancel, they must do so before the next billing cycle to avoid being charged for the next month.

3.4 Subscription Discontinuation

Users can discontinue their subscription at any time.
Access is maintained until the end of the current paid period.
And hence no refunds will be issued for unused portions of the subscription.

4. Account Usage and Restrictions

4.1 Users agree to:

Provide accurate registration information.
Use the service for educational purposes only.
Maintain the confidentiality of their account credentials.
Supervise student usage of the platform.
Ensure valid payment method is maintained.

4.2 Prohibited Activities:

Creating multiple or fake accounts.
Attempting to manipulate or misuse the platform.
Sharing account credentials.
Using the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Providing false or invalid payment information.

4.3 Communication Restrictions

All communication between students and tutors MUST occur exclusively within the AiMentor platform.
Exchanging personal contact information or communicating outside the platform is strictly prohibited.
Attempts to contact tutors or students through external means are grounds for immediate account termination.
Any off-platform communication attempts will result in potential legal action and account suspension.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 All content, including but not limited to practice questions, AI-generated materials, and tutorial content, is the exclusive property of AiMentor.
5.2 Users are strictly prohibited from:

Reproducing
Distributing
Selling
Modifying
Creating derivative works from AiMentor's content without written consent

6. AI and Tutoring Services

6.1 AiMentor provides AI-powered and human-tutor supported educational services.
6.2 While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee perfect educational outcomes.
6.3 In cases of AI-generated content limitations, qualified human tutors are available to provide additional support and clarification.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 AiMentor is not liable for:

Any direct or indirect damages arising from platform use
Educational performance or outcomes
Technical interruptions or data loss

8. Termination

8.1 AiMentor reserves the right to:

Suspend or terminate accounts
Refuse service
Take legal action in cases of terms violation

8.2 Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:

Breach of terms
Fraudulent activity
Inappropriate use of the platform
Attempting to communicate outside the platform
Violating communication restrictions

9. Modifications to Terms

9.1 AiMentor may update these terms at any time.
9.2 Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

10. Governing Law

10.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
10.2 Any disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the applicable Australian court.
